After releasing ANRO's debut album Honesty, the guys from FrameFusion didn't hold back and released their movie together with the artist behind it all. Nothing seems impossible anymore after this. "Time to get honest." is the quote that is said a lot lately, but how honest? Time to find out.
What is Honesty.?
"Honesty. is a story that tells how I've dealt with problems, with life and how it all evolved into how it is today," says ANRO (Roan Vogels) when he is asked about his project. He continues, "But it also shows some beautiful moments, self reflection and a for me important lesson."
Together with Jace Pagie, a friend of Roan, he wrote his story into a movie, and combined it with an album, featuring tracks as Victorious (together with ArrowBlaze), Lose It All (Into Dust) and Revenge. "It's a true reflection of myself" - ANRO

The story
Roan on set for Honesty. the movie
"We've tried to capture my own life, but without too many personal details. You could describe it as a hero's rise after failure I guess." These are the words from Roan Vogels, the creator of this project and one of the writers. He continues;
"I didn't always have the best people around me, which made me feel unsafe. A few years of my life, I was constantly on survival mode, never letting anyone close. This definitely scarred me in some ways. Still I find myself struggling to find any friendly connection with another person, let alone any romantic ones. But, after a long time, I do start to see changes towards more positive stuff. I've got great friends surrounding me, people that believe in me and want to help out. Am in a mindset where I can actually make something of my life, and I will not waste that opportunity."
"We took some parts in the story very literal. For the track OutRage for example. We shot a scene in which I am tied to a chair while I am getting tortured by myself. And because we wanted to show the version of me that's at a low point, I showed some flaws of me that you normally would hide from people. And you know what? I loved doing it. Don't get me wrong, it's shameful to see myself in a messy room and not cleaning it up. But it was the truth for a while, because I wasn't in a headspace where I cared enough about myself. And I think sharing a story in this way, is way more unique and honest then the usual "I had a rough childhood" story we all heard a 100 times."
